Valesuchi & ótimoKaráter - Split EP (DOM007)

These recordings embrace the spirit of what we felt in september 2016. This new bond affected our musical questions in a way that served our friendship deeply as time passed. We decided to release this to honour the place from where this music comes from. It's a photograph, a blurred family memory still containing the essential joy in it.

We thank our friend Savio for his constant generosity along this time.
To Lucas for assambling the cover.
To Roniere for the last touches on the tape recording.

First collaborative effort in EP form by the Rio-based Chilean Valesuchi and the São Paulo-based Brazilian ótimoKaráter.

“Capcana” jacks up a rather energetic and smudgy opener, leading us to the somewhat breezy and lush “A Outra".
“nada a perder” dwells in sci-fi tinged paranoid pads before jumping into more subterranean synth melodies, whilst the closer “Mudanças” recasts the overall tonality of the EP to more inner-directed and mind-bending soothing atmospheres.

Essas gravações abarcam o espírito do que sentimos em setembro de 2016. Esse novo laço afetou nossas buscas musicais de um jeito que serviu profundamente à nossa amizade no passar do tempo. Decidimos lançar esse EP em respeito ao lugar de onde vieram essas músicas. É uma fotografia, uma memória de família borrada que ainda contém uma felicidade essencial.
