COMEÇO DE SÉCULO — parte exposição, happening e teatro experimental — aconteceu em ato único no dia 05 de novembro, da meia-noite às três da manhã, no espaço da Galeria Jaqueline Martins, em São Paulo. O projeto se desdobra em ações não anunciadas no espaço público, um site com vídeos comissionados e documentais e por este álbum — uma compilação com peças sonoras de artistas participantes (algumas gravadas ao vivo durante a ação e outras comissionadas).

A proposição articula conceitos e trabalhos para abordar a antecipação e o assombro que marcam o chiaroescuro dos momentos de possibilidade total. Interessada antes no estado de presença radical do que na especulação do porvir, lida com o que emerge das fendas abertas por empurrões paradigmáticos, trazendo à tona a substância da sensação e o calor cognitivo que acompanham os ruídos, tensões, agitações, disputas, exaustões, rupturas, êxtases e insurgências; se inclinando sobre a energia enigmática que habita os abismos.

BEGINNING OF A CENTURY — part exhibition, happening and experimental theater — happened in one-act on November 6, from midnight to 3 a.m., at Galeria Jaqueline Martins, São Paulo. The project is followed by unannounced activities in public spaces, a website with documentation and commissioned videos, and this music album — a compilation of sound pieces composed by participating artists (some live recorded during the act and others later commissioned).

The curatorial proposition articulates concepts and works to address the anticipation and wonder that mark the chiaroescuro in moments of total possibility. Interested in states of radical presence rather than in speculations of the future, it deals with what emerges from cracks opened by paradigmatic thrusts, bringing out the substance of sensation and cognitive heat that accompany the noises, tensions, agitations, disputes, exhaustion, ruptures, ecstasies and insurgencies; channeling the enigmatic energy that inhabit abysses.
